The two main mid and long range weapons in Halo 4 are the Designated Marksman Rifle and the Battle Rifle.
One of these weapons was obviously favored by 343 industries in making the game. We ran a series of tests on each weapon to determine which was better.
The old favorite the Battle Rifle was first introduced in Halo 2. The BR quickly became a favorite of Halo players across the world. The gun provided effective firepower at short, medium and long range when in the hands of a skilled user. This single gun arguably propelled the Halo franchise to heights never seen by another game.
The BR made its return in Halo 3 and was equally popular. Major League Gaming had the gun as the default weapon in all of their tournaments. This made the BR the most important video game gun for the competitive gamer ever.
The DMR first came out in Halo Reach. The gun was not widely accepted by Halo players who still favored the BR to a large degree. The BR was taken out of Halo and replaced by the DMR in Halo Reach.
The newest game Halo 4 offers both the DMR and the BR in online gaming. This means you can now choose which gun you prefer.
This article is here to help you make that choice and draw some comparisons. Let us start with the old favorite the Battle Rifle.
The BR fires a three round burst and takes five head shots to kill. The effect is also the same if you fire four head shots and one shot to the body. The gun has a upward bullet spread and therefore it is best to aim slightly below the head to ensure all three rounds are on target. This also ensures that at least one round will strike the head. The BR takes 1.8 seconds to fire five shots and this is it's optimal kill time. The battle rifle still has a great feel to it and is very effective at medium range.
The DMR fires a single bullet with each trigger pull and takes five shots to the head to kill. The same can also be said of firing four shots to the body and one to the head. There is almost no bullet spread even when fired at maximum speed. This means this gun is very accurate. The DMR is king at long range. For novice users the best method is firing body shots first and firing at the head for the kill shot. The gun fires five shots in 1.68 seconds and this is the quicker of the two in kill time.
In conclusion The DMR is a little harder to aim but is clearly the superior gun in firepower. For those who prefer the BR the gun is still great. The BR in the hands of a skilled user at medium range is still the most lethal gun due to ease of aiming. The DMR however is likely to become the new gold standard for Halo players.

The sequel to the highly successful Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, is called Skylanders Giants. One of the great new features of this video game is the introduction of Lightcore figures. The Skylanders franchise has successfully linked real world toys to a video game. When a Skylanders character is placed on to the Portal of Power, the character is instantly transported to the magical world of Skylands. The Portal of Power is sold with the Skylanders video game, and is the interface that connects the figures with the game.
Although there are some small differences between the Portal of Power in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders Giants, they essentially work in the same way. If a person already has an original Portal of Power from the first game, they can use it in the Giants game. The Portal glows when it is being used, and can change color too.
The Lightcore technology introduced in the Giants game is found within the toys themselves. When a figure is placed on or near the Portal of Power, the figure lights up. 'Toy's For Bob', the Acitivison studio that developed Skylanders Giants went to great lengths to get the colors of light chosen for each character just right.
Which Skylanders Characters have the Lightcore Feature?
All Giant Skylanders have Lightcore technology. There are eight actual Giant characters in the video game, one for each of the eight Skylanders Elements (Air, Water, Life, Undead, Magic, Tech, Earth and Fire). Five of these Giants have already been released. Tree Rex, the Life Giant has an energy beam blaster that glows green, and his eyes glow blue. Crusher, the Earth Giant has shoulder spikes glow green and his eyes glow blue. Bouncer, a Tech Giant has a large gear on his chest that glows orange and his eyes glow white. Swarm, an Air Giant, has stingers that glow yellow and eyes that glow white. Hot Head, a Fire Giant has a flame on his head that glows red. The other Giants have not yet been released. These are Ninjini (Magic Giant), Eye-Brawl (Undead Giant) and Thumpback (Water Giant).
In addition, there are also eight regular sized Skylanders that have Lightcore technology. Each of these characters has a normal version, and a Lightcore version. Eruptor, a fire type, has an open mouth that glows red when he is placed on the portal. Prism Break, an Earth type, has large crystal beams that glow green. Drobot has a small orange light on his back. The other five Lightcore figures have not yet been released. These are Hex (Undead type), Pop Fizz (Magic type), Jet-Vac (Air Type), Chill (Water type) and Shroom Boom (Life type).

I finally had the time to buy the latest game to be released in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC market, which is Darksiders 2. The first Darksiders game was kind of fun, so I have high hopes for the game. Who wouldn't? If you've seen the trailers in YouTube, you'll definitely be expecting that Darksiders 2 is going to be another gritty, dark, and flat out amazing!
Well then, let's start with the introductions. After the first game, War is somehow captured and imprisoned for the actions he did. Death, the protagonist for Darksiders 2, does not believe that his brother could do such things as he considered him an honorable Horseman of the Apocalypse. Well, I'd consider War honorable for all the beating he did during the first game. LOL. In any case, the time period isn't very different from War's but there is little to no narrative in this game. That works for me, since I am not exactly keen with games that has long storylines and dialogues.
Now with the original Darksiders, the atmosphere is cloudy, dark, and depressing with hordes of enemies dressed in chunks of armor and armed to the teeth with blades, axes, swords and other varieties of weapons to match. With Darksiders 2, it gets even better; the skies become more ominous, there's thunderstorms almost everywhere and there are particular levels where you walk on a fragile bridge with loads of molten hot lava underneath! Even the buildings and spires look so terrifying as you help Death accomplish his mission.
One of the fun things I noticed in Darksiders 2 are the side characters. Some of them are really well-made. While they don't have long dialogues, most of these undead behemoths and demon rulers talk without any humor while Death answers with either a death glare or a hiss, which is supposedly what it's meant to be. It is a set during the entire Biblical Apocalypse thing, so you can't expect comedians to exist during a dreary time like this, right?
When you start playing, you are introduced to the combat system and how you gain money and upgrades through items you get from the enemies you slay in battle. Coins, weapons, and armor are just some of the stuff you get from monsters and, as standard rules apply, higher level monsters mean higher level items. Oh, you get a primary weapon and a secondary weapon as well, and there's a customisation setup for rare possessed weapons, so if you find yourself playing or exploring dungeons, be on the lookout for these items.
The only downside that I've seen with Darksiders 2 are the bosses. Some are ridiculously easy to beat while some are just lame. In any case, it's still a fun game to play. For PC players though, make sure that your computer has good specs already; otherwise, you won't be able to appreciate Darksiders 2 as a whole!
Have fun playing and saving the world! Or at the very least, have fun destroying, maiming and getting rid of demons!

Fifa 13

Way back in September 2012, the release of EA Sports FIFA 13 sparked excitement throughout the football world. Every year the game sells a ton of copies world wide and the latest in the franchise didn't disappoint either. One feature that is closely looked at is the career mode and what had been added to it for this years installment.
The famous career mode has been a huge talking point with fans of the series over the past few years. So there was a lot to be expected on this mode for the new FIFA 13 game.
The game developers (EA) used this feedback wisely and put in a brand new feature called the match day feature. This quality addition would actually be revolutionary to not only FIFA games, but football games in general.
The basics of the match day feature are that it will take data from real life performances of players, and then implement that information into the game. So if Wayne Rooney was playing really well for Manchester United, then his display would be good in the FIFA 13 game.
Another fantastic feature that was put into the FIFA 13 career mode was the graphics being improved dramatically. Now the realism put into the game is second to none with breathtaking detail. The players faces were also improved with EA actually using special software to catch the players faces with the finest details.
Now more players on the game actually looked like they do in real life with the closest to realism as possible. The Tottenham Hotspurs football club became the official partners of FIFA 13. So they had their entire teams photos taken so that all the players looked as real as they could.
The first touch control feature was a new addition to the career mode which had amazing results. Many fans did moan about the new feature which was hard to get used to at first. After a bit of practice and a few games later, gamers on the social site Twitter were saying how the first touch was a good move after all.
More club football stadiums were added to the game, including Newcastle United's St James Park stadium. Many UK gamers wanted this arena added to FIFA 13 and their wish was granted when it was finally added to the finished game. Overall the career mode is very well set up and has had an amazing revamp for FIFA 13 this year.
The FIFA 13 career mode is not the only feature that was improved on this years game, check out the rest http://fifa13-cheats.com/tag/wayne-rooney/ on my blog.

ave you missed Master Chief? For the populace of Halo fans who ever thought he's gone for good, think again - he is back in action in Halo 4! Just like the previous installments, Halo 4 offers exciting features for avid first-person shooting fanatics out there.
While the return of Master Chief is amongst the plethora of surprises from the game, it is only really a teeny slice of the entire pie of fun. However, along the greater gaming comes more intense challenges - thus beating the whole venture might not be as easy as you think.
Good news, though; we will be discussing the most helpful Halo 4 tips that you can use. Knowing that locking and loading up is what the game generally revolves in, the following content will talk about the three most useful weapons to get equipped with to reign supreme as a player.
MA5DICWS Assault Rifle
Halo 4 has been created in a way where any gun - when used with brilliant strategy - can allow a player to win in virtually all possible challenges that leads towards a victorious conclusion.
However, it is not to question that there really are weapons that work better than others depending on the context - meaning you have to find the right balance. To that note, the MA5DICWS is the most efficient assault rifle for mid to short range combats. This would work best for you if you are a melee type player who occasionally gives their distance to give some nasty gun shots up.
Compared to other assault rifles, this one has more damaging factors and with a few shots or even just one right by the head, can bring down a particular target - a lesser-skilled DMR or BR user.
The Spartan Laser
Whether you're in a multiplayer mode on Halo 4 or in a campaign, either way, the Spartan Laser will definitely kill it as far as pleasing the whole crowd goes. With the ability to strike a target to as far as a mile, this laser-shooting weapon can bring down the vehicles of your foes with no sweat at all.
Through this weapon, it would almost be impossible for your other players to get even a bit closer to you. The only real chance for that to be possible is when the laser has to be charge for a good 3 seconds. After that, you can be on energy gleaming barrage once more. Long story short, this option is perfect for long-range players.
The Sticky Detonator
Do you remember the little pistol Master Chief just grabbed within the initial E3 video about Halo 4? It was actually a sophisticated weapon called the Sticky Detonator, which is a mid to short range type grenade launcher.
Once you fire a grenade out of it, a single click will pull the trigger for detonation that causes massive areal destruction. Just take some time in practicing it, though, for there will be a short delay before the grenade actually explodes after triggering it up. Nevertheless, the mastery of it will surely make the game a piece of cake for you while it turns out as a knuckle sandwich on your opponent's end.
While the challenge can be a lot of fun, seeing your enemies go past the thresholds of breakdowns is even more pleasing. By keeping in mind the three-weapon based tips provided above, you will definitely be able to indulge into a winning spree in Halo 4 every time you play it up.
